2020-2021 N.I.C.E. Board

Dave Weinstein, Board President

Dave is the Board President and has worked with NICE for the last two and half years. Dave has lived in Philly since 2007 and moved to 16th/Morris in 2017 with his wife and now 1 year old daughter. He currently works as the Managing Director of Service and Strategy for City Year Philadelphia, where he oversees the service model and operations of an AmeriCorps program that places 215 tutors and mentors in Philadelphia public schools. Dave is excited to work in support of the Childs community and galvanize public support for the school during a challenging year for educators, students, and families.

Christina Kim, Board Vice-President

Christina fell in love with Philadelphia back in high school while visiting colleges. She is a proud alum of Bryn Mawr College and set roots in Philly upon graduation. Between then and now, she lived in various neighborhoods but has called Point Breeze home since 2014. Four years ago, a future Child's student was born.

Christina is Director of Strategy at Veeva Systems, focusing on Regulatory technology for Pharma and Biotechs in North America. Philadelphia specifically is a hub of medical innovations and drug platforms, so she is definitely kept busy! When not working, she is exploring restaurants in the area, hiking in the Wissahickon, cooking meals for the family. This is her second year on the board with NICE and is proud to have organized the Halloween Event at DiSilvestro and the Election Day Bake Sale this year.

The best part of being on the board is meeting the community and getting to know the neighbors, so feel free to reach out anytime at tinakim521@gmail.com.

Bethany Chisholm, Board Secretary

Bethany is a Boston native turned Philly lover thanks to the city's food scene, museums, and civic engagement. She has worked in arts and culture and human services nonprofits as a fundraiser for the last eight years, and is currently the Assistant Director of Development at The Rosenbach. Her past volunteer experiences include serving as the Development Chair and Vice President of Young Involved Philadelphia. Bethany lives (quite literally) around the corner from G. W. Childs, and is excited to give back to her neighborhood and local public school. If you see her walking around Point Breeze with her dog Charlie (Manuel), say hello!

Sara Knechtel, Board Treasurer

Sara Knechtel is NICE's Board Treasurer and joined the NICE board this year. Sara lived in Philly from 2013 - 2020 and recently moved back to North Carolina with her husband and 1 year old son. She is a Director of Product Management at FIS, where she oversees the management and development of different payment products. Sara is excited to work in support of G.W. Childs and maintain her connection with the Philadelphia community.

Keshema Davidson, Board Member

Keshema Davidson is a new addition to the NICE board member as of August 2020. She lives with her husband at 24th and Manton and has called Philadelphia home since 2013. Keshema works as the Manager of Community Affairs at Cristo Rey Philadelphia High School, an independent college prep high school for underserved families located in North Philadelphia.

Matt Forrest, Board Member

Matt is a Chicago native who moved to Philly in 2012 and spent 5 years working for a non-profit in Philadelphia public schools before heading to graduate school. During that time, he spent 3 years at G.W. Childs where we fell in love with the amazing school community. Matt currently works for AmeriCorps where he supports national service grantees in Maryland and Delaware in meeting community needs. Outside of work he enjoys exploring restaurants in Point Breeze, playing in recreational sports leagues, or getting lost in a book on his front porch. He has been volunteering with NICE since Fall of 2019 and joined the NICE Board this year.
