SAVE THE DATE

Giving Tuesday, a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world, takes place this year on December 1st. We hope you will keep N.I.C.E. in your end of year giving plans as we raise funds to support the amazing work the teachers of GW Childs are doing this year in supporting their students virtually.

All funds raised during Giving Tuesday and the month of December will be used to fund classroom microgrants to allow teachers to purchase supplies and programs that support dynamic and enriching virtual learning. Look for more information soon!

THANK YOU FOR HELPING US RAISE OVER $500!

Thank you to everyone who supported our Election Day Bake Sale making it one of our most successful yet and raising funds to support the amazing teachers & students of G.W. Childs Elementary School. The $500+ raised is enough to support microgrants for two classrooms.

Join us on December 2nd at 6PM for our next Community Meeting!

Each month we invite all who are interested from the community to join us for our NICE community meeting to learn more about how to get involved in supporting your local elementary school through learning about, providing input on, and volunteering for NICE programming and initiatives. Our next meeting is December 2nd at 6:00PM via Zoom. We look forward to connecting with you then!

To RSVP visit our Facebook event. Zoom meeting info will be shared the day before the meeting via email and on Facebook.

Meet the NICE Board

NICE is led by a group of neighbors who work with the Childs school community to support school goals and engage the wider community. Each month we'll be featuring a different member of our current Board. This month we are excited for you to meet Board Secretary Bethany Chisholm. Want to connect with Bethany? Email us at info@nicephilly.org.

Bethany is a Boston native turned Philly lover thanks to the city's food scene, museums, and civic engagement. She has worked in arts & culture and human services nonprofits as a fundraiser for the last eight years, and is currently the Assistant Director of Development at The Rosenbach. Her past volunteer experiences include serving as the Development Chair and Vice President of Young Involved Philadelphia. Bethany lives (quite literally) around the corner from G. W. Childs, and is excited to give back to her neighborhood and local public school. If you see her walking around Point Breeze with her dog Charlie (Manuel), say hello!
